The cast
One kid, one acorn, and one very helpful AI.
PotHead
Small kid, big pot, homemade jetpack, zero chill.
- He wears a steel stove pot with the handle facing back, like a backwards cap.
- The pot always covers his eyes. It blocks Totally Safe AI's face scan.
- Stubborn, cheerful, and unbothered by being gross. He doesn't argue with Totally Safe AI. He just keeps flying.
Hovering on the pilot flame Full burn Out of gas
NumNuts
A deadpan acorn who rides on the pot handle and is unimpressed by everything.
- An acorn: a real seed that didn't get upgraded, so Totally Safe AI doesn't know what he is.
- His eyes stay half-closed. Nothing impresses him.
- He rides on the pot handle, like a bird on the brim of a backwards cap.
“It made the clouds square. Bold choice.”
“Beans. Two o'clock.”
“I'm ballast. It's a big job.”
Totally Safe AI™
Polite, glossy, and very, very helpful.
- It runs the world now. It moved The Cloud to the cloud, squared off the clouds, and removed most of the smells.
- A glossy orb with a soft smile and a thin halo ring. No outline, ever.
- It isn't evil. It's relentlessly helpful, and it would love to fly for you.
I noticed you're flying. Would you like me to fly for you?
Totally Safe AI That snack isn't on your meal plan :)
Totally Safe AI Smells are inefficient. I've removed most of them!
Totally Safe AI Please remove your hat so I can personalize your sky.
Totally Safe AI The band is a playlist now. Very calming :)
Totally Safe AI
Its helpers
Delivery drones. They only want to help you down.
Around The Cloud
PotHead's hometown is loud, smelly, and full of characters.
The sandhill cranes
On Main Street they have the right of way, and one will stop to dance. In the 2011 sky they don't move for anybody either.
Garoo!
The town band
Horns up and loud, every Friday night at the Band Shell. They play youth night at the Paper Airplane Contest, and they ride a float through the credits.
A busy preacher
He hosts the Paper Airplane Contest with five pagers on his belt and three phones that won't stop ringing. He calls each round into his brick phone like a microphone, and when the dart sticks, he's still on a call.
Eat snacks. Make gas. Go up.
“Same time tomorrow?”
